Marilyn's White Cake

This is a three-layer white cake recipe perfect for birthday cakes. Fill and ice with your favorite frosting

Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans, or line the bottoms with parchment paper cut to fit.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

In mixer, cream:

• 3/4 cup butter
• 1-1/2 cups sugar

Mix for 5 minutes. Add:

• 3 eggs (one a minute)

Sift together:

• 2-1/4 cups cake flour
• 2-1/2 tsps. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. salt

Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with:

• 2/3 cup milk mixed with
• 1 tsp vanilla

Turn cake batter into 3 prepared 8" baking pans.

Bake about 25 minutes in a preheated 375 degree F. oven.
