Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans, or line the bottoms with parchment paper cut to fit.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
In mixer, cream:
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs (one a minute)
- 2-1/4 cups cake flour
- 2-1/2 tsps. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup milk mixed with
- 1 tsp vanilla
Turn cake batter into 3 prepared 8" baking pans.
Bake about 25 minutes in a preheated 375 degree F. oven.
