Pat's Cranberry Orange Bread

 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x5x3" loaf pan.
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1-1/2 cups golden raisins
  • 1-1/2 cups fresh cranberries, chopped

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Cut in butter till mixture in scrumbly. Ad cranberries.d the beaten egg and orange juice together, and stir until the mixture is moistened evenly. Fold in raisins and chopped cranberries. Spoon batter into the prepared loaf pan adn bake at 350 degrees for about 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted intot he centre comes out clean. Wait 5 minutes, then turn the cake out of the pan and let cool on a wire rack.
