Little Brown Sugar Drop Cookies
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 large beaten egg
- 1/2 cup flour
- pinch of baking soda
- 2 pinches salt
- Cream together sugar, butter, salt, baking soda and beaten egg.
- Gradually add sifted flour, mixing after each addition.
- Drop batter by small teaspoonfuls (batter should be the size of a nickel) 2 inches apart on well-greased cookie sheet.
- Bake one cookie sheet at a time in preheated 350 degree oven about 5 minutes
- Remove cookies from the hot cookie sheet immediately, using a spatula.
- Cool on cooling rack.
- Batter can be mixed a day ahead, covered, and refrigerated overnight before baking.
