Every time you say "Pass the salad," Amy says, "Pasta salad? We don't have pasta salad!"
But we could.
Norm doesn't like it, but he might eat it if it has an olive oil dressing and he'd want you to heat it up first.
- 1 lb. pasta, cooked according to package directions
- 4 cups chopped broccoli
- 1/3 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries (optional)
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 8 slices of cooked, chopped bacon
- 1/2 cup feta cheese
- 2 Tbsp sugar (optional)
- 3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
In salad bowl, add raw broccoli, onion, skunflower seeds, bacon, feta cheese (and cranberries if using).
Add cooled pasta, toss to combine.
In smaller bowl, cobine vinegar, mayonnaise, sour cream, salt and pepper. Whisk. Taste.
Whisk in sugar if desired.
Add to pasta mixture, toss, refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
