I haven't tried this recipe, from an old Lithuanian cookbook. I assume it's similar to cornbread.
Buckwheat bread is an option for people who are allergic to the gluten in wheat flours. But some people are allergic to buckwheat and a buckwheat allergy is more common among people allergic to rice and latex.
- 1 lb. 4 oz (567 grams) buckwheat flour
- 3 large eggs
- 4 cups milk (or half water, half milk)
- 1 cup melted butter or margarine
Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven about 1-1/2 hours.
