Buckwheat Bread (Dzukiska Grikiu Boba)

I haven't tried this recipe, from an old Lithuanian cookbook. I assume it's similar to cornbread.

Buckwheat bread is an option for people who are allergic to the gluten in wheat flours. But some people are allergic to buckwheat and a buckwheat allergy is more common among people allergic to rice and latex.

  •  1 lb. 4 oz (567 grams) buckwheat flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 cups milk (or half water, half milk)
  • 1 cup melted butter or margarine
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and pour into a large greased baking pan.
Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven about 1-1/2 hours.
