Halle has apparently been enjoying her pregnancy, loves the way she looks, and says that she's had a lot of fun eating for two.
I know just what she means. Through my late teens and early twenties I was very strict about what I ate-- fruit and low-fat yogurt for breakfast, salad and diet pop for lunch, a Lean Cuisine or steamed vegetables and skinless chicken for dinner, a "treat" of air-popped popcorn on the weekends. I craved bread and pasta, but figured if I ate that stuff I would never look like one of Charlie's Angels.
When the doctor called to say I was pregnant with my first child I decided I could eat more. I almost felt nervous standing at the deli counter, ordering lunch. I ate a big whole-wheat roll stuffed with chicken, lettuce and cheese, a container of chocolate milk and a big, red apple.
Wow. It was like being a kid again, happy at lunchtime! After three months of nausea and a month of migraines was over, I liked being pregnant so much, I had two more children (I bet this baby won't be Halle's last, either.)
