Gumdrop Bundt Cake

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 2 cups granulated white sugar
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup lukewarm milk
  • 3-1/2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 lb gumdrops, any color except black (because I don't like them)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour a medium bundt pan.
Remove black gumdrops. Put rest in a bowl and stir in 1-1/2 cups flour to coat. Set gumdrops aside.
With electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs one at a time. Add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt.
Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to butter mixture.
Stir in floured gumdrops by hand.
Bake in 325 degree oven 1 hour.
