Soften 1/2 cup butter.
Put butter in a bowl and cream with:
4 tbs. cocoa
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Set the bowl in a pan of hot water and stir until the mixture is the consistency of custard.
In a separate bowl, mix:
2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
Add this mixture to the egg mixture.
Spread in a greased 8 x 8" pan and pat down.
In a separate bowl, make the filling.
Cream:
1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp milk
3 tbsp. custard powder
2 cups icing sugar
Spread this mixture over the mixture in the pan.
For the topping, melt:
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp butter
Spread chocolate-butter topping over the mixture in the pan.
Refrigerate till firm.
Cut in squares to serve.
