I just checked out http://www.googleartproject.com/ where you can see high resolution digital images of great artworks from the best museums in the world. You can also crop and zoom views and "save" your own version of the works you like in your own "collection" to share.
If you've visited any of these museums, it's amazing to revisit and zoom in on these artworks in such fine detail. I clicked on "Versailles" and zoomed out from a detailed close-up of a child's eye to view the famous portrait of Marie Antoinette and her children--I'd bought a postcard of this portrait when I first visited the palace in the early seventies.
If you've not had the chance to travel much, this is a great opportunity.
If I had a big "framed" digital screen I'd display a different masterpiece on my wall every day.
