Lose Weight, Wear a Mouthguard


You can consume a lot of calories by "tasting" while preparing family meals. Slice cheese, and a piece goes into your mouth. Toss croutons into the salad, eat a few....

If you have trouble breaking yourself of this habit, my dentist says wear a dental appliance when you're cooking. If you don't have custom-made retainers or a nightguard,  try an inexpensive hockey mouthguard.

Having to take out the retainer and clean it will make you more mindful of impulse eating.
