- Shred cabbage or use bag of shredded cabbage (red for colour)
- diced or sliced yellow onion
- apple cider vinegar
- honey
- apple cider
- 1/2 tsp each fennel and mustard seed (optional)
Sautee onion in 2 Tbsp melted butter or oil with seeds in a large pan until onion turns transparent (a few minutes).
Stir in shredded cabbage, a splash of apple cider vinegar, a squeeze of honey.
Add salt to taste.
Cook until liquid reduces.
Use as a side dish or a topping for pork schnitzel or on a sandwich.
