Russian Toffee

Cook in a non-stick saucepan, stir constantly and don't use too high a temperature.
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 2 lb. coarse brown sugar
  • 2 oz. butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Grease a baking sheet.
In a non-stick saucepan, boil milk and sugar together.
Stir in butter.
When mixture reaches a caramel consistency, add vanilla.
Pour mixture onto the greased baking sheet and allow to set.
Cut into 1x1" pieces when completely cool.
