If some of the peaches you buy aren't quite ripe, put them in a box covered with newspaper to help them ripen more quickly. Use ripe peaches in this recipe and when making peach pie.
- 6 peaches, halved and pitted
- 1 tsp butter
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Dip cut side of peaches in sugar and cinnamon.
- Place sugar side down in the buttered pan.
- Cook until carmelized and soft.
- Serve with ice cream or caramel sauce and candied nuts.
